One of the greatest reinventions to come out of Lockdown happened on the Chat10Looks3 facebook page.
Background: Chat10Looks3 is a podcast hosted by Annabel Crabb and Leigh Sales, which has the feel of a group of friends catching up over tea. They offer recipes, movie, podcast, book, and song suggestions, and best of all, some light banter. If you follow this next-level-bookclub you would be known as a 'chatter' and addicted to the aptly named, 'chatters crack' dessert recipe.
But first, a countdown of only a few of the next best things the "army of kindness" has to offer during Lockdown:
5. Advice columns influx. From anything to new washers and dryers, where to adopt a new puppy, to considerations for adding a new storey to the house.
4. Old dress patterns. Long gone, but never lost, the exchange of crafts is plentiful.
3. Individual games. One of the looniest is typing your own name into the GIFs search and seeing what the first result is.
2. All important updates, about shows coming out, birthdays to wish well to, all the way to kindly worded decisions to not watch 'Hamilton' (cause one of us needs to stay sane if Disney+ uses it as an opportunity to send mind control rays out).
Drumroll, please.
Considering the shutdown of arts, performances, galleries, travel, and tours, it took one brilliant lady (and a gaggle of her friends), Anne Braun, to create...
1. Visual tours. A collection of nice things to simply see. Her first post a virtual hike to see wildflowers in their natural surroundings. Then to a European-esk collection of fabulous ceilings. Followed by tomorrow's installation of rock formations and hole-in-wall framed images.
Get your computers humming, we finally found a use for all those useless fire-work pictures!
